COMMERCIAL SALES REPRESENTATIVE: Tile Mosaic Design
Full-Time Position

COMPANY & WORK ENVIRONMENT

From a unique design and manufacturing studio in historic Charlestown, Artaic produces custom tile mosaics for a wide variety of applications, primarily within the commercial architecture and interior design industry with a focus on hospitality, corporate, healthcare, education and residential sectors. Artaic is inventing and applying a proprietary, partially automated system of front-end design software linked to back-end inventory management and robotic fabrication. This system allows for revolutionary efficiency in mosaic production.

THE POSITION: Commercial Sales & Design Representative

Artaic has an opportunity to support and grow its national sales organization with a strong sales representative to help manage client opportunities and expectations throughout a detailed custom project process. This position will deliver a responsive client focus, aggressive sales outreach, administration of a detailed sales management process, and focused development of rapidly evolving sales channels and markets.

We are seeking someone with experience or interest in the fields of interior design, architectural finishings, and/or custom manufacturing. We are looking for a creative, self-motivated, Commercial Sales Representative to field inbound leads, chase opportunities, and execute a range of sales project activities to handle our growing lead funnel across channels. A powerful new sales automation and digital marketing platform awaits a top performer who has the confidence, drive, and tech-savvy to make it happen.

This new role reports to our Commercial Sales Manager and works closely with our VP of Sales and Project Services Manager. It also supports the projects coming in from several outside reps in the field. The ideal candidate would have a track record of success, ideally in the architectural products or design industry. The ideal candidate enjoys attacking a steady lead funnel and managing a diverse portfolio of commercial projects through the design, booking, and manufacturing process.

The role involves developing relationships with commercial designers at A&D firms nationally in order to win project specifications. The candidate must be able to aggressively implement sales process administration that measurably impacts revenue in the environment of a fast-growing innovation-oriented company. Importantly, this role is supported by an awesome team of professionals who are passionate about putting remarkable beauty out into the world every day.

OVERVIEW & RESPONSIBILITIES

The position is based in Artaic's Boston-based design and manufacturing studio in Charlestown. Limited remote working flexibility is offered on occasion.

● Help sell, manage and develop business across key markets through detailed and responsive outreach and follow-up, virtual product presentations, an eye for commercial design, and a client-centric approach.

● Manage a lead funnel and CRM centralized sales pipeline through qualification, nurturing and booking of opportunities.

  • Have exemplary organization and time management skills with the ability to attract and retain new clients and help manage their mosaic projects through the pipeline, while maintaining existing clients and their projects.
  • Carefully balancing time and resources to be able to address new business opportunities each day, while leveraging automated tools for outreach and engagement.
  • Liaise with the Project Services and Production department to ensure timely sample requests, renderings and projects are delivered to meet and exceed client expectations.

● Report on sales team activity and present monthly data and forecasting.

QUALIFICATIONS

● 3+ years experience in sales, ideally in the architectural products and design industry or a related field.

● Creative, entrepreneurial, go-getter mentality with an aptitude for modern data-driven sales and project management techniques.

● Ability to help manage and scale a large sales pipeline and target contacts in a manner that contributes meaningful growth to a sales organization.

● Strong communication skills (written and verbal, in-person and virtual).

● Experience physically and virtually presenting sales and marketing collateral, product & process features, and company presentations.

● Experience in the development, sales and/or marketing of custom products is a big plus

● Strong sales administration skills.

● Exceeding target standards for initiative, efficiency, and results among peers.

ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

● Experience in sales support, client service or business development, preferably in architectural finishes or furnishings.

● Design savvy and ability to inspire creative vision with clients.

● Experience with and commitment to a CRM platform such as HubSpot or Podio, and leveraging IT tools and technology for planning and execution.

● Market research to identify promising opportunities and specific targets, developing a disciplined and systematic approach to helping the commercial sales team reach their goals.

COMPENSATION Competitive personalized package includes base salary and sales incentive bonus structure, health benefits, and equity.
Salary $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year, plus bonus.
